Annoying rules

I love the Internet, and have been on it since '88. I am currently a sysop on what just might be the oldest free bulletin board system still going, [ISCA BBS]. And so, while I love the Internet, I've also seen just how things can go in unfettered forums. So, a few things:

  • This wiki isn't meant as a forum; it's meant to be informational.
  • Perfect is the enemy of good: feel free to add stuff that's incomplete; hopefully others will fill in the blanks.
  • Feel free to share *positive* information -- even political information if you wish. But talk up your candidate/issue -- tearing down the opposition is a non-starter.
  • Right now, it's open to edit by anyone so long as they register. I hope I can keep it that way.
  • I back up the system hourly (at least to start) so even if someone with malicious intent manages to tear it all down, it can come back easily.
